I grew up in Shanghai, China. I did my undergraduate study in the Dept.of Electrical Engineering, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, China, which is one of the oldest universities in China.

In 1999, I came to University of Pennsylvania to pursue PhD degree in the Dept. of Electrical and Systems Engineering. I work in the Multimedia and Networking Lab under the direction of Dr. Roch Guerin. My research falls into the general area of networking. In particular, my interest is in the area of flexible Quality-of-Service (QoS) for the Internet.
